Marlon Williams (born 31 December 1990) is a New Zealander-born singer-songwriter as well as a guitarist and actor who lives at Melbourne, Australia. Most often an artist on his own who tours and performs with his group The Yarra Benders and first was noticed as the frontman of the band The Unfaithful Ways, and for his collaboration alongside singer-songwriter Delaney Davidson.

After moving from Melbourne, Australia, in the middle of 2013, Williams began performing solo in the city, self-releasing the live CD”Live At La Niche, touring Australia with US performers Robert Ellis, Cory Chisel and performing at Mullumbimby Music Festival. At the time he was in Melbourne’s inner-city suburb Abbotsford and the Yarra Hotel.

He began recording his debut solo album in Spring 2014. Despite living in Melbourne, the record was recorded over a year at a Lyttelton studio. That year, he put together his supporting band, The Yarra Benders, aptly named after the pub/hotel they worked and lived in. The Yarra Benders are musicians Gus Agars, Dave Khan and Ben Woolley, and previously guitarist Dan Parsons.

In 2015, Williams had a supporting role in the ABC Television miniseries The Beautiful Lie; he appeared in all six of the show’s episodes. The following year, he had a small role in the 2016 New Zealand independent film The Rehearsal.

Williams formed The Unfaithful Ways in the age of 17 along with high school pals Sebastian Warne and Ben Woolley and Science teacher from the school Simon Brouwer. The band quickly gained attention throughout New Zealand, playing the Big Day Out, and were nominated for the New Zealand Music Award in the year 2011.
